Frequently Asked Questions

OffPlatform is designed to provide guests and hosts with direct booking capability via an online marketplace, and gives guests the option to choose the platform from which they’d like to book (TPAs or direct book with host).

By using OffPlatform, they are able to see the price differentials as fees, commissions, and taxes are (or aren’t!) applied through each platform.

OffPlatform does not facilitate bookings, collect money, extend rental agreements, etc. The relationship is between the host, the guest, and the platform through which the reservation takes place (TPA or direct)

No. But here are a few pro tips:

  • If you use a Property Management System (PMS), check there first, many offer direct book build options.
  • HOUFY will build one for you for around $80–110/year per property.
  • LODGIFY will build one for you, more robust than Houfy.
  • DIY with WordPress and a real estate theme (such as HivePress: Rental Hive theme).
